Austin: Christmas 2001 West Chester, PA - This past Christmas I was visiting family in West Chester and decided to drop by Rake's house and pick up a copy of the Volume 2 CD. So i stopped by, and as soon as I got to Rake's house I saw Bam's A4 parked right there. Rake came to the door and said that Brandon had forgotten to bring the CD over, and for me to stop by tommorow to pick it up. So I got a picture with Rake, and he told me he would go get Bam and Bran, but Bam had just started showing everyone some new footage upstairs. So I went back the next day and picked up the CD which Rake had all the guys autograph for me. Rake is an awesome guy and was totally cool!
Megan Rourke: August 19, 2001 CKY3 CAMPout Philly, PA - This was one of the best times I've ever had. The day after the CKY3 preview party, I took a trip to West Chester to visit the places where some of the classic stunts were performed. I'm sure you'll recognize all of them. Some of the places were hard to find, particularly where BMX Joust was taped.
Patrick Houdek: Chicago, IL Wednesday August 30, 2001- Met Rake and some other people from Rake's board at Navy Pier. Walked around, had some beers. Then we went to eat (well, I just drank). After that we went to another resaraunt because besides Rake and I the others were underage. Went to El Jardin which has very strong margaritas. After that Rake and I went over to Delilah's (punk rock bar) and had more drinks until it was late and I had to go home to get some sleep. Work the next day was long and painfully hungover. I had fun.
Steve Credo: August 19, 2001 CKY CAMPout/X-Games Philly, PA - Cky3 looked even better then the last 2! It was also great to See Johnny Knoxville, BAM, Phil, Rake, Raab, Ryan Dunn and all the others! They were really cool about signing autographs and taking pictures. Not conceited like other famous people. I also met BAM at the XGAMES in Philadelphia. He was really cool and too bad he wasn't in the competition that day! Thanks again to everyone for the autographs and pictures!
Laraina: August 19, 2001 CKY3 CAMPout Philly, PA - I was standing in the rain (it was sprinkling) in line waiting to get into Troc. Johnny Knoxville comes walking up the sidewalk to the front door. He stopped, talked to some fans and took pictures. Later on I saw him inside and I asked if he would take a picture with me. He asked my name then he shook my hand and put his arm around me and my husband took a picture, but we were still talking. Johnny looked at me and said "He was quick. Do you want to take another one?" So we took another picture. He was just so nice. Later when we were leaving he shook my hand again and I wished him success with all this films. I am a fan for life.
Kat: August 17th, 2001 XGames- I went to the X-games with some friends to the street skateboarding competition. It started at 1pm and I had gotten there at 12:30. It was raining, so we had a 2 hour delay. The skaters couldn't even warm up because of the course being wet. So me and my friends waited. Some X-Games volunteers came after the rain had finally stopped and cleaned up the course in an effort to dry it. All the skaters warmed up and had their runs. They all did great. Before it was over I looked over towards a tent, where Bam Margera was walking over with his girlfriend, Jenn. I got so excited! I knew I had to meet him. I ran over to the back of the tent where he was watching the guys. I yelled his name and at first I only got a wave and a smile from him. But no one let him come over and sign anything yet, I was crushed. Then later when it was over I finally got my chance. I went over to him and politely asked for his autograph. He asked my name and I told him then he signed my book. I gave him a hug and left. My only complaint was that I didn't bring my camera for a picture :*( but he was a nice guy to talk to.
Holly: I met Eddie Harvey, of Eddie's Auto, who was featured in a Jackass episode taped in Knoxville, TN. He is the guy that Dimitry was trying to buy a pound of gas from. Eddie owns a car parts store (Eddie's Auto), and he is a friend of Johnny Knoxville's dad. Johnny often wears a t-shirt from Eddie's Auto on Jackass. Eddie is really nice. He gave me one of the shirts for free! I also met the rest of Eddie's family, as well! I met his daughter, Edna and his sister, who was visiting from Michcigan. All of them are so nice. At first I was a little embarrassed to talk about my Johnny Knoxville Site in front of all of them, but it turns out that they think it's great! Edna even told me where to buy some Jackass stuff in East Towne Mall. Eddie said he has known Johnny since he was little. There are some really funny things in his store; there are beer and whiskey bottles on the shelves along with the brake fluid! There are also hornets nests and plastic doll heads in the front window. There was even a red industrial pump sitting in one aisle!
Randi: May 29, 2001 Tony Hawk skate demo in Sacramento, CA: We were all stuck behind a gay ass fence and it was hard to see. I remembered that i had a Tony Hawk access pass and asked security what it would get me. The dude was nice and let me in the gate. I walked by my friends, still stuck on the other side of the fence, and waved. Yes, I'm evil, i know. Bam had just fallen hard and was out the rest of the day. I ran up one of the ramps and was in total awe. All of a sudden Bam walked right by me and sat down. He was all bandaged up from his fall. I asked for a picture and that was that. He didnt talk much nor did he looked to excited or happy, but i remembered he was in Sacramento. No one is happy in Sacramento :)
Katy: I met Bam at the Adio/Zumies Tour when he hit Colorado! I got a picture of him and I taken together! While I was waiting in line, Zumies was giving away stuff from shirts to decks. I had brought my 16 month old daughter with me. While I was waitin' in line the Zumies employees came out of the store with a few shirts. They had told Bam, Kenny Anderson, Kris Marckovick, and Danny Montoya that I was out there with my daughter, so they gave me a signed Adio tour 2001 shirt with all of their autographs! I waited 2 to 3 hours in line, when we were told that they were done with the signing. I was so upset! I had wanted to at least see Bam. After store security and Zumies employees got alot of the people and kids out of the store, they opened the gate and let Bam out. He did some signing while I asked him for a picture, he politley said yes with a smile on his face. He was only out of the store for about 5 minutes, then they lifted him up out of the crowd and back into the store.
Eric: We got to the Adio tour here in Denver, and there was about 1000 people! I saw Bam Margera and was like "Hey thats Bam!" and I went over to see what he was doing. He was standing on top of a Big Ass tour bus, ready to ollie off on to the 1/4 pipe. After that he camenear me. I was happy like all 13 year olds would be but he said something that kinda made me sad, he said "This is stupid." So 1 hour later I went inside to the signing and I met Bam and he was nice but a little down and sad. He signed everything but one of the guys there was like "I think he doesnt like all the people coming here to see him do Jackass, I think he wants to just skate"
Ryan Blum-May 22, 2001: Some friends and I went to a skatepark in Plano, Texas to catch Bam skate in the Tony Hawk Tour. I had made a Knoxville/Bam t-shirt for my son so he could show Bam how much he liked him-and it worked. A guy who worked for ESPN took my son on the tour bus to meet Bam and took pictures of them for me. Afterwards Bam came out and signed autographs for almost 30 minutes and my friends and I were able to talk to him. After I thank him for being so nice to my son he took a few pictures with us and continued to sign autographs for all the kids. He is a great guy, a true class act. My son will never forget the day he met one of his heroes.
Ed & Tricia-Monday, April 2, 2001: My mom, my brother Ed and I headed out to do some sight seeing around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It was 2pm and we had already done the Hollywood thing and decided to head over to Melrose to look at shops and be tourists. Ed sat in the backseat, disgruntled, wearing his aviator glasses like his Jackass hero. My mom made a wrong turn and we ended up a good 10 blocks away from the street we needed to be on. We turned onto Melrose to find the shop we were looking for. Suddenly, out of the silent depths of the back seat Ed shouted "Mom!! It's Johnny Knoxville!!!" We did not take much heed to his exclamations until he finally yelled "MOM! I'M NOT FUCKING JOKING!!! IT'S JOHNNY KNOXVILLE!!!" We believed him this time! So my mom turned the car around, went into an ally, and into the back drive of a California Chicken Cafe. Ed had seen Johnny getting into a car when we drove by the first time, so when we got into the lot, the car was backing out. In a desperate effort to block them, my mom aimed the car in a direction preventing them from getting out of the lot. Frantically waving her hands like a mad woman, she darted out of the car (seriously, I have never seen that woman go faster), and went right to the back window of the car where Johnny was sitting, yelling, "My son loves you!! You're Johnny Knoxville!! Is that Bam in there? Can we take your picture?" My mom was so cute, she has no idea what she was talking about. It was Chris Pontius in the back seat with Johnny, along with Jeff Tremaine in the front. They were all laughing. Johnny couldn't have been nicer. He leaned over to Pontius, then said "Hey man, let's get out of the car." Ed walked up, with a huge grin on his face, and said, "Oh man, you're my idol!!" Johnny asked his name then said "Hi Ed, I'm Johnny Knoxville, and this is Chris Pontius." It was just like on Jackass. They shook hands, and posed with my brother for a picture, shook hands again, and got back in the car. They all waved at me and said "Hi" when they drove by as I sat hysterically laughing in the car. Needless to say, we did nothing for the rest of the day except laugh about the encounter.
Anna May-Thursday, March 29, 2001: My friend Mary Ellen & I went to the Ed Sullivan Theatre an hour & a half before the call time for the David Letterman show (around 3pm). Johnny showed up around 4pm in a black limo. I made friends with the Security guy so he let me past the barricade and go up to Johnny as he came out of his limo. I was the first autograph. He signed the back of my 8x10 glossy coz I didnt have a sharpie marker & we all know pens dont work on glossies. Then, I asked him for a picture and he was like "Suure, that'd be great." I went next to him, expecting him to just stand there and take a pic with me. Then, he outstretched both arms and said "Come here." He pulled me in and we hugged each other. It was sheer heaven - he smells sooo good! After we took the pic, he asked my name so I said "Anna May" and he was all "Nice to meet you Anna May. Your hair's really soft. Thanks for coming out." He went over to other people and started signing their autographs. I asked him to personalize my autograph and said "Excuse me Johnny, can you sign my name on your autograph. I'm sorry I am being a little bitch about this." He was so cute-he goes "No your not-dont say that...I know how to spell your name." He actually spelled my name right coz I tried spelling it for him and he told me not to. Then, I realized that he had a sharpie and could write on glossies. So, I turned the glossy over and asked him to autograph the actual picture. He looked at it and was all "Oh My God, thats from Big Brother! How'd you get that?" I said, "Oh, it took me awhile but I found it." He just smiled and said "Thats great-thats really cool you found that." His security was trying to hustle him inside already so he had to go into the studios. We waited for him to come out after the show and the place was packed. There were at least 200 people waiting for him, all with cameras and stuff for him to sign. My security guard friend let me stand right next to his limo door as Johnny came out. He looked at me and said "Hey! Whats up?" I was so shocked that he remembered me! My friend dared me to give him my phone number so I wrote it on a little piece of paper. As he was signing autographs for other people in front of me, I slipped my hand in to his right pants pocket. My note was safely in there but as my hand was half-way out, he turns to me and goes "What are you doing?" I was like, "Ummm nothing" I expected him to get all pissed at me and scream but he just smiled. He put his hand in his pocket, fished out my note, took one look at it, put it back in his pocket and said "Oh alright." Then, he just smiled at me again and kept on signing autographs. He signed another one for me but it was drizzling heavily so my glossy got all smeared. I also didnt have a sharpie so his 2nd autograph is a little blurred and really light. I swear-Johnny has got to be the nicest and sweetest celebrity I have ever met!!! The man rocks and after this, I dont think I will ever forget this day!
Ron Harper- December 2, 2000: I met the fools up in Philadelphia at the Troc, CkY, Snapcase show. The guys at the door didnt let me in but I saw Phil outside with April (Bam and Jess's parents for you that dont know). I told them that i drove up there to see CkY, and they were telling me that they couldnt even get bams uncle in the show. I was going to leave when I saw the Volcom paddy wagon. I asked Phil and April where Bam and Bran were, he said "Up in the van, go on up"! I was like "Whatever they dont want me up there." I felt like a dumbass for doing it, but I got up there and saw Bam, Ryan, Jenn, Deron, and some of the camera crew. I asked for a pic and Jenn took a pic of me and Ryan and then me and Bam. He gave me a autograph on my cky2k, and I asked him "Where the hell is bran"? He said he was not there yet, so i was kinda bummed out because of that, but everyone was SUPER nice, so it was worth the trip up there.
Carrie: I was walking down Hollywood Blvd. in LA with a friend, and noticed "Its Johnny Knoxville." That was that. I didn't want a picture or anything. But my friend goes up and starts talking to him, and said, "My girlfriend wants a picture with you." So we got a picture together, and we all talked about the store that he was looking at, and he said, "This is the best damn store around." I forgot the name of it though! And then he left, and I yelled at my friend because she made me get a picture with him...and I looked like poo.
